This place is amazing!! Stopped in to pick up some food during our weekend stay in Dallas. Service was fast, friendly and atmosphere was Awesome! The food was delicious!! Will definitely dine in next time we're in town.
Came here because I’m trying to get more acquainted with the local restaurants and possibly find a hidden gem. This one wasn’t quite a hidden “gem” but it was okay. I had raw oysters and the grilled rainbow trout. The oysters were super good, but it’s kinda hard to miss with those tbh. The rainbow trout however…. No… it was lacking seasoning for sure. The grilled veggies underneath tasted so burnt but they didn’t look burnt.. the rice & beans were bland as well. I had to put hot sauce on everything to give it something. The employees weren’t very polite or welcoming. Everybody looked like they hated their job.. it wasn’t even busy. Not sure if I’ll return.
Excellent menu. The grilled trout is a little too thin for my taste, so I shifted over to the grilled tilapia... excellent! The meal comes with rice & beans (but not like rice & beans in a Mexican restaurant Reasonable) and sauteed slices of squash... yummy! Reasonable prices except, as usual, for wine and beer. No waitresses, but nice setup for order and pickup. They have fresh ground horseradish at the table! I'm a regular now.
I love this place! Their salmon is always grilled to perfection. I like getting the salmon salad and their salad is a huge salad with all the fixings and compliments any of their protein they add on top. Their fried fish is just as good and is always crispy.
I had the fried catfish, and it was delicious, Generous portions, Funky atmosphere. My dining companion was also impressed with the quality and such a reasonable price. Will definitely go again. My only disappointment is there were no flatfish on the menu like halibut, but the catfish was a delicious alternative. Will definitely try the snapper next time as I'm a big fan of ocean fish.
